Is this kit worth the money?? Can you feel the power increase of this kit..also, how much does it reduce your fuel mileage??
Hauck GHT-R-Done Kit, 96 Woodys
vs.
Complete Stocker
Both FX's
Several runs, switching drivers and conditions. Loose snow, hard pack and rolling starts.
Not scientific data, but we tried to be accurate as possible.
Never less than five lengths and usually around seven to eight. Once again this was with two drivers switching sleds and many different starts. Probably a total of around twenty five races.
A little side note. Thanks to the highway patrol. They do and awesome job at helping people and keeping our roads safe. Oh yeah and they can be useful with their radar guns. Especially when they are stuck in the ditch anyways waiting for a tow!
Top speeds seen on the stocker in the ditch by radar was eighty four and the ght-r-done was ninety two miles and hours. Ditch was mostly hard pack. This was our conclusion, maybe others have found differently. I believe if you have the extra cash laying around and you plan on keeping your Phazers then it is a worthwhile investment.

Next time I am out, I will do the math. It seemed like it took off about 1 - 2 mpg with the last tank...worth it IMO...

For those watching at home and wondering what this is all about here's the blurbage from Hauck:
This is the best performance package for your Phazer. This kit includes Dual Pipe System, Air Box Pods, Fuel Accelerator and clutching. Saves 10LBS and gives you a 9-12HP increase.

What is the engagement RPM??..I like the low engagement RPM of the stock clutching...hate high engagement clutching (been there hated that).
If you get the kit you can tell them you want a spring with less preload for llower engagment.
I'm not shure what they have them engaing at now.

For you guys that have this set up, can you remove the small turnouts on the exhaust? I really like the whole idea of the kit but am not real sold on the exhaust.

Yes, you can turn them in another direction or just remove them.
