Well, it's basically an XTX with a 1.75" lug track but since it's got Öhlins TTX shocks in the front and Öhlins PRX shocks in the skid, they call it FX Nytro TTX. Good news for us! Pricewise it's not more then $1000 more expensive then the old XTX so not too bad.

What are the shocks worth as an upgrade?

Finally a Yamaha with proper shocks...
...but only for scandinavians...
If purchased as aftermarket equipment in Sweden, these shocks are SEK 33500 which is USD 4919 with the exchange rate of today.

Another brilliant move by Yamaha to offer Ohlins shocks oversees and North America can't even have the same standard comp/rebound adjustable shocks for 2013.

I think this move has got nothing to do with the Yamaha factory messing with american customers. This is simply Yamaha Motor Scandinavia that wants to build a sled that is possible to sell in Scandinavia. The scandinavian market is small enough for special projects like this and this is not their first special project. For instance, Yamaha Motor Scandinavia introduced the 1.75" track option already back in 2010 and they also had big success with the 2012 Yamaha X-Ride which is a customized MTX SE 153".BADSLED said:Another brilliant move by Yamaha to offer Ohlins shocks oversees and North America can't even have the same standard comp/rebound adjustable shocks for 2013.
Considering that the Yamaha factory is not always responsive to the needs of different markets, I think we will see much more of this in the future. For instance, read the rumors in the mountain section about Ancorage Yamaha offering some seriously customized mountain sleds.
Anyway, I think the FX Nytro TTX is going to be a great crossover sled. Finally a proper track and finally shocks that are built and calibrated for rough trails...! Let's just hope they deliver it with decent skis too...I know most of the people behind the shocks and they have been working on the final spec for more than a year. And considering who the main test rider is, I think customers that enjoy inspired and aggressive rough trail riding will not be disappointed...

What is the sled next to it? Looks like different A arms than the nytro's we have.
