What does everyone use to make their Apex (or any sled) shine?
Wax, polish, yamaha spray, armorall?
I am wanting something that will protect/bead water but still make her shine like the day I took her home from the dealer. What does everyone use?

Meguiar's Quik Detailer Mist & Wipe for the high-gloss plastic, Mother's Back To Black for the lower shrouds and I use a Simple Green on the seat (easily and safely removes boots scuffs). Simple Green also does a good job on the buildup that accumulates on the powdercoat areas. I tend to stay away from the ArmorAll especially on the seat as I find it greasy and streaky not to mention very slick if it gets on the seat.

I use a product called "Race Glaze" polish and sealant. It is phenomenal! It beads water like crazy and lasts quite a long time. I have found it at my local hardware store, but it's also availabe on Amazon.com. The stuff is made right here in WI as well!

PLEXUS for all the plastic surfaces including the windshield. Also works great on helmet visors. And McGuire's billet polish for the tunnel

Plexus here as well.
I also use 303 Spray for the black plastic and McGuire's Marine cleaner/conditioner for the seat. (not slippery)

Damn nice sled Irv.
I was looking at the marine cleaner today at canadian tire never thought of using it on a seat. Couple years back my buddy picked up a formula z 583 and he was always bragging how fast it was and how much faster it was than everyone else's. One day he decided to shine it up and asked me what to use on his seat! Well after putting up with all his comments about how fast he thought his sled was. I decided it was payback time so I told him to use armour all. He bragged even more when his seat became SOOOO SHINY and nice! The next weekend we went on out and safe to say I laughed my a$$ off the whole day. Especially when he was trying to keep up and stay on the seat around turns.
Has anyone ever used the meguiar's polishing kit with the cone? It comes with the cone, cleaner and polish. Also where do you get plexus at ?

303 spray is good stuff. It has sunblock in it also.
Ice liquid polish on everything except the seat. Orange hand wipes on the seat took of 5 years of crap from previous owner that I thought would never come off.

Thanks for the compliments guys
Newfie, you can purchase Plexus at most motorcycle shops as far as I know, but I do know Royal Distributing definitely carries it.
Also, try www.eshine.ca I know they carry it but it is even pricier through them.
I have also used I-Pone cleaner/polish, which I know is the same general idea as Plexus, but I don't find it does as good as a job.
303 is also expensive but like what was already mentioned, it has a good UV protection quality in it so for me I don't mind paying a little extra.
