Hey guys just wondering if anyone has been out on the vermillion river from lake vermillion up to crane lake recently, if the weather holds I'd like to do that ride after trails close this weekend. I haven't been up there for a few years and was just looking for some updates thanks.

I have not done that ride. So Can't say but glad to think it is GODs country.

Dont know much aboat that river, but if anyone ever wants to ride about 225 miles round trip , we ride the Minnesota river from New Ulm to granite falls, its a great run, couple fuel stops along the way and also great food at the casino in Granite falls, makes a real nice 1 day run, also some nice trails that follow river bottom. too bad we had alot of warm weather this spring, river is starting to flood out now, some years we ride river until mid March. My season is over in southern MN

Late post but i rode from ely up to lac la croix --up the vermilion river april 6th it was perfect!!

We've lost about 2' of snow depth last week here in the Duluth area. We had more snow depth here than up there. It may be rideable in the shaded and north facing areas, but the snow is not real good.

I am originally from ely and still have a place up there this time of the year all we do is lake ride , last ride last year fishing opener on burntside

I was out on Vermilion last MAY, looks like I could do it again this year too.
