the first rx-1 we dyno'd made 142hp, since then we have found 137-139hp to be in the normal range. the apex made 148hp, the same day we dyno'd a stock rx-1 at 137hp. jeff
I'm just getting onboard with these 4-Strokers so I'm playing catch-up here... I would imagine you guys have seen pretty much everything there is already on this website... My apologies if this kind of stuff has been posted several times already...
Jeff -- You have any Apex runs that you can post or would Yamaha have a coronary if you posted it (disclosure agreements and such) ???

That's about what we get on our dyno guys. All the 03 and 04 RX-1's (broke in on the trail) made 131-134HP and all the 05's we dynoed made 141-144HP with one making 146HP (these were all broke in on the dyno)
Thanks,
Ray

Alright I know this has been asked on here before. Who has the real answer. Is it better to run regular over premium on a non turbo sled? From the results above it looks like it. Anyone? It would sure be nice to save a few bucks on gas. :?
