There was some talk about how the gauges would be hard to see when sitting down, here is a pic from a seated postion. I'm about 5' 9" so I think most people will not have a problem seeing the whole gauge or at least the top 3/4.
Here is a pic of the trunk, you can see the standard Yamaha tool kit, as well as the spanner wrench that comes with the sled. the trunk space is pretty big but it has been a couple years since I had any trunk storage space.

Yeah, but I'm not sure it is a bad thing. I dont really want that to be a focal point myself. Just too many other good looking items on the sledMightyWarrior said:Hmmmm, that bar pad is pretty bland isn't it![]()
Although we could send them in to MrSled and he could have a TY logo silkscreened on for us
Hey my sled is inbound, not in for another week, in Feb at the proto demo ride they said that they would put in an additional storage area in the very nose of the sled. Did they do that???????
Oh and thanks pullinfront for the pics. Very nice, that is my tribal color

In a picture I saw the open space in the nose cone area and thought that would be a great place for some storage. Whether they put anything there or not, I will. I'm working on a idea of a small bag with a velcro mount. You can never have enough storage space.

There is a large space where the two can holder use to be. I'm sure that people will use this space for something.

That's where you're suppose to put your pistol when you go into the local watering hole. You can't take it in there with you sillys.........

What is the gray metal box with fins and a wire coming out of it? That looks like it would be a sitting duck to become damaged if you put something in there.
Thanks

That finned item IS a voltage regulator. Located exactly the same as on older RX1's, except that due to the lack of the front storage, you can now see it.
I wonder if an RX1 beer can holder will just fit right in there? No sense breaking your beer in the back of the seat.

Plus you don't want warm beer...in the front it will stay relatively cold.
The rear compartment acts like a clothes dryer when you toss wet gloves back there.
