I got to ride the FX Phaser. Very fun, very light, great in the big moguls. It was about 6 degrees in Old Forge, the sled was very warm to ride on. Horsepower was 500 SX, very limber. Great introductory sled for teenagers or women, and people who don't need to go fast.

I have pics need to figer out how to put them on, If you have ? just ask

NyTrOMaNIaC
TY 4 Stroke Master
Would you compare the power to a 600 2 stroke as noted on maxsled ? Was it a final product, or are they planning on making more revisions ? Would it make a good ditchbanger, and how did the reverse work ? Anyone else got questions ???

Motor wise compare it to a Ski-Doo 500 SS, which is the old 600 motor for a Ski-Doo. No it is not a final product, they are going to add 2 more inches of foam to the seat. They were just finishing the re-mapping of the feul system. And they were going to put a retard system on the reverse, so that you could be going forward and press the button to throw it into gear. I think that it would make a great ditchbanger. It is the lightest feeling sled I have ever rode. This sled is like a 4-wheeler, you could sit out in the parking lot and do donuts with. It has foot clips for you feet, so that you can have all of the control on the rear of the sled. You can jump and it doesn't even effect the thing, it stays level and flat. The reverse worked great, it is a push button. In my opinion coming off a super-charged Apex, the sled is great. Chasis is great, I just which the thing was 110 horse, but your are talking to a guy that loves a lot of horse-power. I would buy one in heart beat just to ride around my house with narrow trails and lots of bumps.
What size was the shield? Were you able to open it up and how far did you go? Do you think the knee protectors would help when riding on the trails?

I got to ride 2 different phasers. One had the short and one had the tall. The one with the short you could feel the wind on your chest, the medium I was actually sweating on while riding it. For mileage, we went out at 8:00 in the morning, and there were 5 people in our group, 2 phasers, 07 RTX, Nitro, and Atak, and we were able to ride until 10:00 on the trails. I got to open it up in a small area. I saw 80 MPH in 800-1000 ft. The sled was real good off the start, a little laggy when you took off from 60 with it. No, I don't think that it needs knee protection, the way that they have the scopes and the hood angled, you don't need them. The sled is warmer than an Apex by far.

what did the exaust sound like was it a deep throughty sound or more of a wimpy sound. how was the torque on take off and the mid range. does it pull as hard as the other yamis.
Warmer than an APex??? I take it that the Phazer with the taller shield was warmer so then the shorter shield would be the same as an Apex. For a beginers sled 80 miles an hour is fast enough. How do you think it would handle in the twisties??

It doesn't sound like a typical 4-stroke. It has the tone of a 4-wheeler. No it doesn't pull as hard. It pulls like a 500, not like a Vector. I think that it would handle great in the twisties. You can still sit with your feet forward and ride the thing and have fun. Does anyone know how to take a picture and post it?
Thanks for the info Phantom. When you go to post a reply at the very bottom there is an attachment button. Click on that and browse to where you have saved the pic on your comp. It is better if you have a smaller pic file size. It takes longer to load if it is tooo big. Hope this helps.
