2005 RS VENTURE 40,000 MILE REPORT - UPDATE 3-19-2009

Hondo,

Excellent report, great mileage total. I am coming up on 7000 miles on mine and your report has given me some good direction for summer check up and upgrade items.

It is by far the best all around sled I have ever owned.

Thanks,

Glad to share the info with everyone.

Concur, RS Venture is a great "all-around" sled! ;)!

Thanks Alain,

I am working on my Pivot Arm safety bracket.

When I am finished I will send you a photo. ;)!

Thanks Hondo. Facts, not perception or reaction, makes for a great post. I put on fuel shutoff valves last spring and ran the carbs dry as well as running stabilizer through, had no problem starting in the fall.

Thanks Jeff,

Full shut off is a great idea.

I am going to put one on this week.

Also, I'm working on the pivot arm safety bracket! ;)!

Thanks, now that is info and no BULL. Yamadoo

Hondo, you need two shut off valves, there are two fuel hoses running to the carbs. They're easy to do, did them myself last spring. I'd take a pic but my sled is up in VT still.

Any pictures to share???

Put the fuel shut off valves on today.

Here are some photos. Need to log in.

All I have to do now is clean the exterior of the sled and put her to bed! ;)!

I see said the blind man as he took out his hammer and saw.

By the way, what are those square blocks with the gold anodized cover that the fuel lines go into?
