Finally thought I had the bugs worked out of this thing and now this? Starting to think I made a mistake adding any boost to my Warrior. Here goes. First, what kind of boost should I see on my boost guage with 5lb pulleys? I also would like to know what combination is 5lbs(just to make sure I have the correct combo). What would cause oil (alot of oil) to escape out the CC breather? I pulled all the plugs and none had fouled out. One was alittle wet only on the threads. The ends where dry. I loked down the plug holes and same deal. All were dry except for one. One was very slightly wet. Any help would be great. Thanks

Blowing oil out the breather "normally" indicates hole in piston !!!

Correct engine rpm 9800 with 24/24 pulleys nets 5lbs at the manifolds and 6-7lbs at the intercooler. If you exceeded the engine rpm you exceeded the boost number.

How quickley will a hole develop? I was seeing between 10 and 12 pounds of boost on the boost guage. The RPM's were around 10,200.

This is on a 05 Warrior.

I probably need to pull the head off huh? Are the head gaskets reusable? Should I consider adding another head gasket?

Any thing special I need to know about removing the head? Tips or anything? Thanks

You could always do a compression test first, but I think you have troubles inside the motor.

Engine crank gear = 22

Supercharger cross shaft gear = 26

That puts you right between 5 lbs of boost at the intercooler at 9800 engine RPM.

thats the first step, atleast you will no which cylinder is bad, if they all look the same then may have out of round cylinders letting compression by the rings.

You'll be doing more than pulling the head. Get ready for a complete rebuild.

I will do a compression test tomorrow morning. Approx. what should the correct compression be? Thanks

Just look to see if they are all about the same that is the main thing.Good luck!!

On stock motor Yamaha's minimum spec is 175-180 lbs of cranking compression.

My boondocker oil tank does not read correctly on the dipstick. I overfilled the oil about 1/2 quart and the extra blew out the CC breather, then it quit. Hope you are as lucky as me.
