Just curious, I thought the bov should be before the cooler core, in the charge tube or front of the ic?

Your right, It is prefered to be before the core but not critical.
Sometimes space constraints force your hand.

Ted,
What are your thoughts on the BOV installed on the opposite side next to the air intake(too close to the throttle body?)

Ted,
I have the Vortech (from you) and have not yet put it on. It is for a RX-1 s.c. Stage 1 carb. Would you happen to have a picture of where it should be mounted? The floats are pressureized before the i.c.
Thanks

As stated before the best place is in the charge tube before the intercooler whenever possible, if not anywhere in the intercooler will be fine, but depending on where you float bowls are sourced or where the fueling box on Apex models is sourced tuning is required.

I've got a stage I super for my 07 Attak, should I have one of these installed on there? How is it installed? Is there a bung that gets welded on the IC?

Yes these are a great addition to any boosted application.
We have flanges that need to be welded on then drill through center to open up intercooler to BOV.

It looks like you have the MaxFlow valve there, model# JRE-8D204-003, is that the better one to get? I have found three different ones and am wondering which one to get. I will never go over 10 or 11 lbs. of boost.
Thanks....

I'm thinking the same valve, in the same place but I want to hose it back into the supercharger inlet but I need a bung on the the inlet elbow. I want to use it as a bypass valve not a blow off valve. I can't seem to find an inlet elbow with a tap for a hose. I don't like the sound the blow off valve makes. I'm into the stealth thing. I hear the bypass setup is better because "spool up" time is shorten. What's everybody's take on this?

You really can't hear it, it is by far one of the quietest bypass valves available.

Cool, i'm into the quiet thing. Doesn't a blowoff valve require more tuning with then without due to the fact of all that fuel delivery while under boost then suddenly being vented? But then again how is fuel delivery controlled when the butterflies are slammed shut? Looks like you would get major back fires. Do the kits monitor boost pressure?
Thanks,
Moon

It will require low speed tuning due to the fact that the valve is open whenever there is vacuum present in the carb boots.
Right now with a supercharger there is pressure present even at Idle and that Required fuel to be removed, you will have to add some back in the Idle and very low speed adjustments after the install.
Ted.
