I am having trouble figuring out why my clock keeps resetting everytime I turn off the sled for more than 30sec - 1min, whether the time has set or not. Anyone else experience this or know what the problem is.
Thanks.

BTW: It's an '06 Attak.

I'd start by making sure you have constant (key off) power to the gauge cluster. I'm guessing that you won't have any power after you turn the key off, which is causing the clock to die. Don't have my manual with me for the wire color, but test the plug for the gauge for power with a meter....there should be one wire to the gauge that stays hot, even after the key is off. If there is power, check the wire up to the gauge itself, and that it is making a good connection in the plug. No power, start tracing the wire back, looking for breaks or wear spots...good luck.

Ever figure this one out, I have a brand new 07 RTX with the same problem? I've had the pod out a couple of times, and will check the connection, maybe it's not plugged in correctly.

Check the plug at the back of the gage. If it is firmly connected, then look for the hot wire, when the key is off. Check to ensure there is power on one wire. If you have power, it has to be the connection or the gage. Maybe a bit of contact cleaner might help.

Well no luck, no power at the connectors when the key is off. It could be a blown fuse I guess, I'll have to check that next.

Found my problem, 3amp. mini fuse was blown. The label says it's the backup fuse I believe, but the backup beeper was working. Well anyway that was the problem, now I have no excuse not to come home on time, lol.

Where was this fuse located?

It's on the right hand side above the disk brake rotor, I believe it's the second mini fuse from the front. You'd be able to tell by metering it or just looking at it, most of the time it's pretty obvious.

Sorry It's been so long since I've checked this thread but, thanks for the info on the fuse. I'll check it ASAP.

No problem, I appreciate the help on this board too!!!!

yup mine did the same thing too. but i never pulled the back-up fuse, thought that was for the reverse sensor. #$%&* figures the one i didnt pull out. lol
