The fours worked good for me when I was not picked. changed to six when picked , best mod to get rid of the dartin.

ya this has like 196 picks in it so i think the 6" would be the way to go for sure. what did you pay for them if you don tmine me asking?

Same your money on these and get some Bergstrom's. They are much nicer. The duallies can load up with snow and rocks in between the runners which render them useless.

I have the six's on my and they were okay, this year I'm trying the 8's. Shadetree is where I got mine.

Get the studboy deucebars instead. Dual runner still stops the darting completely, but the runners are closer together so they don't build up with snow. They are also made like the shaper bars to help in turning.

I went with the 8" woodys dooley's with having 144 studs. I bought them from Port Yamaha (262-377-5480 or www.portyamaha.com they seem to have good pricing on most items) the guys there are very knowledgable and plus they are a sponsor on this site. Depending on if your studded and how many studs will dictate what size carbides you need.
Some people bash the woodys dooleys for loading up or other various things but I ran them for 1,900 miles on the Apex and they seemed to do the trick. The sled handled just fine, cornered fine and with no darting.
My only complaint was that I was still dealing with the 'hard steering' that many complain of. Therefore this year i have switched to the pilot skis which I hope are as good as advertised.
Again...the woodys will get you by but the word is they are not the best option.

If you are an aggressive rider I'd stay away from the duallies. They make work ok with no studs and low cornering speeds but the do envoke a SEVERE push condition at higher speeds and with studs. It's brutal!!

I hve the 8" Dooley's and 144 pics, and the big thing I noticed was that when they load up with crap, my mileage sucked! I dropped about 30-40 miles off my range with that sled. Having tried them now, I'm going to switch to the Pilots. They did okay with the darting, until everybody else in my group got them as well, and now if I catch their tracks just right, they still dart.

Do yourself a favor. As everyone I know including myself have run the Woody's doolies they are a great idea that just comes up short in the real world. If you plan on any, and I mean any off trail running, your going to hit a tree as these runners will not turn in the deep. The Yamaha ski sucks in deep snow and the Woody's doolies just make matters worse. I'm going to try the regular Woody's 8 inch runners as I already had them. When they rear out I'm going to the Bergstrum set-up. My $.02

well guys thanks for all the responses. crazy i already went ahead and ordered some for a good price since i needed them anyways and really didnt want to buy skis right now. this sled has 196 studs. my real good friend is coming over to help me service and set up the sled for me and my weight and he's a cerified yamaha mechanic so we'll see after i ride it if i messed up(probably)

I have run both the dooly's & the stud boy deuces & I have found the studboys handled much better (less plowing). Both helped with darting.

Ran the Doolys on my 04 Warrior and found you can catch the front of the bar on some edges.
Meaning the front of the Doolys has a flat almost virtical transition spot where the flat bar meets the carbide holding bar.
I tried to cross railroad tracks and my Warrior came to a halt when both the Doolys caught the rails.
