well, here's the news. Race setup, but still impressive if you ask me...
Wonder how they will keep the sled together..they fall apart with 150hp, so how will 400+ affect them?

Bennett Racing crew from Avon NY just finished their preliminary dial-in with a boosted 4tek destined for winter lakeracing. 120 octane gas totally stock engine flawless at 400 plus HP--we did six dyno runs at 400 HP. They quit at 427 but with a proper size turbo way more is lurking. I will post the full dyno report on DTR this week.

OK - Thanks for shredding some lights on that one. I've heard the rumors, but no facts, I got into thinking that someone had made a trail kit with that amount of power, and then I thought someone must have been out in the sun too much lately, but seeing it's a race system it makes more sence to me now.

Well, as stated this is a RACE setup, to run racefuel. I don't think any of us regular mountain boys would want to run it.
The driveline has been a problem on the XP. And that's a noo-gooder when adding all this HP...
I think MCX was talking somewhere around 250 mountain HP for this sled, but that's not confirmed either....

This is obvious a race only version. it still one h@$$ of a lot of power. but it is not traiable. ski doo will have a belt issue with this one unless they did some majic!!!!! tadaa!

Lets see the belt life. if a doo cant handle 160 hp, lets see if their drive system can handle 400+HP

belt life is all about proper set up and tuning, if the clutches are set up right on any sled belts will last, I have seen alot of guys complaining about belt life on the nytro this year, but I have 1000 boosted miles on mine. if there belts are of poor quility then they may have to switch to something else, like a yamaha belt. it would be nice to see some competition time will tell.

427 HP on a stock motor? Ether it was built for a turbo from the start or it's a ticking yellow time-bomb.
If it was built from the factory I guess Doo is finally learning that 4s are the future and 2s are going the way of the DOO DOO (or is that DODO?)

Greg Bennett is a Friend of mine, and I can Tell you he is no Joke, He has been in the Turbo Snowmoble business long before anyone else thought of it, if you can remember First Choice Turbo Early 90s.
His Workmanship and attention to detail is only rivaled by my own.
I will be working with him on the Clutching early this winter and will be testing against my Red Rocket which should be no Challange for this beast as I only have 350 HP and a Factory Chassis, for NOW
You will be able to see this beast on Display At Hay Days, and a few other Prominant events I can't remember (Sorry) This is an ICE Racer Only you will not see this on the Grass or Asphault.

yeah thats impressive but, dynos dont win races, I am glad to see more players in my game but all I can say is the quickest sled in NY will come from Michigan again for 2009, burkes sled is on it way back to me for turbo update, and our STANDALONE EFI with COP, you thought 4.8 was your target better be shooting for 4.4 thats what is going to take to get by OSP.....

4 strokes may be the future but don't count out the good ol' 2 stroke yet. The new E-TEC gets 25+ mpg better than most 4 strokes and almost as clean as 4 strokes.
