I am planning on installing mine in the next week or so. I also am interested in any pictures from the guys who have already installed theirs.

I followed this link for my install, the only difference i did was i made a bracket and installed in on my hand guard bracket and mounted the guage on my handle Bars. I will see if i can get a picture for you tonight. If you look at my avitar it is installed right where my kill switch is to match the parker know box i have on the other side.

Re: ?? For theguys that bought the Ullmer coolant temp gauge
Hope this is helpful
Here are some pix of the Temp Guage and also the Power Commander LCD I have just installed. Having once lost an expensive instrument package(turbo) after rolling the sled - the screen was crushed down onto the pod- I wanted to give this installation a little protection, Used aluminium angle mounted on rubber bushes either side of the tacho and instruments are made removeable by using industrial velcro to attach. Also they are in the natural view area and I can get to the buttons on the LCD easily with gloves on.RacerDave said:Post up pics of your temp gauge installs!!

Great location and nice job on the bracket fabrication. Just curious as to why you didn't install the rivets from the top side for a cleaner look?

Ulmer Temp Guage install
Sorry The pix dont show very clearly. The brackets are mounted with St.Steel Allan screws through rubber mounts to absorb some of the vibration. They look neat and do the trick. I will get some better pix if you like when I get home to my "Real Job"!!!

I see now that it is the allen head that I thought was the back side of an installed rivet. Nice job!

Ulmer Temp Guage Install
Thanks - I just have a digital battery charge indicator to add and thats it for the instruments. Still lots to do before the snow though as we did high mileage last year and the rest of the sled is completely stripped! I am sure you are familiar with all of the problems!

Nice setup MarkD. That won't work for me though as I run a windshield bag.

I can't tell from your pics. What are you brackets fastened to on the ends toward the center of the sled? Did you fasten to the back side of the speedo/tach unit? I'm trying to get ideas to mount my temp gage too. So far I am leaning toward a piece of angle aluminum fastened on top of the hydraulic brake reservoir.

I have to wait until my sled is out of storage next week before I can mount mine. I was thinking about a velcro attachment to the handlebar pad. Has anybody tried that?

I was thinking of notching out the handlebar pad and counter sinking the gauge into the pad.

Instrument Mounting
I removed the windshield so that you can see better pix from the opposite side. There is a thin rubber mount on the outer mounting points and a rubber spacer that makes up the height difference on the inner points. Hope this is helpful

Thanks for the better pics Mark. I will have to look at that mounting option. I fear that my other choice on top of the brake could cause problems with getting a gauntlet on in really cold weather.
