My bumbers were starting to go again for the second time. I contacted AD and they sent me four new ones. They are updated and are made of new material which seems to be much stronger. Just thought I would give a heads up if anyone else is still having problems.
Service bulletin #2 wants inspection of the plastic bushings on the lower shock rod every 3,100 miles. Check for wear on the bushings and or on the rod itself.

Are you referring to the bushings that the rotator pins push against?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I imagine they would charge for new ones being it is a service bulletin instead of a recall of some sort. They were kind enough to cover my damaged rubber bumpers though.
I just hope these bushings on the shock are not an item that needs constant replacement.

The revolver pin bumpers are what I am referring to that is new material.
The bottom shock rod has plastic "bushings" and that is what the bulletin is on. I have attached the bulletin.

Thanks mdkuni! I only wish i had this information prior to installing the new springs on my shocks. I had the whole thing apart to do it. I did not see any noticeable wear so I am hoping that mine are okay. Thanks again for posting! Very much appreciated.

You are welcome! I know exactly how you feel. I just got done installing my skid after replacing all my bearings and putting my revalved shocks back in when I got the bulletin. I did not notice any damage though so I am leaving them in.

What did you have done when the shocks were revlaved, more rebound dampening? Also can you guys help me by checking out my other thread(zx2 installation tips) and tell me what diameter rivets I need.
Thanks
Thanks

Shocks were revalved for more rebound. I posted in your other thread the information you were looking for.

You must be in the wrong thread if you are surprised! We are talking about AD Boivin here

The only time I am surprised by them is when I get good service.
They called me on my cell phone today and asked me how I wanted to receive the service bulletin-- by fax or e-mail. I told them to e-mail it and to also send me some new updated bumpers --while I had them on the phone.

Pioneer Performance did the valving for me. He had already did the valving for someones ZX2 before he did mine. Not sure who else had it done, but wish I knew who so we could know what they think about it.
