What are you guys using? I did a search and didn't come up with much. Local stores here are: Advance Auto parts, NAPA...not sure where else to look. I could go to the local dealer in my town but I'm not to fond of them and I actually went about an hour away to a different dealer to buy my sled. I dont want to drive an hour to buy grease if I can find something locally. _________________ 2007 Nytro RS w/ Curve Skis, 13 mm pioneer bar, Yamahaheater, Ulmer Stage 2 clutch kit, Garmin 60CSX. |

Hello:
3 grease choices for cold temps that I've seen:
1) Actual low temp grease
2) Synthetic grease
3) Lithium grease
I've bought actual low temp grease before, but any type of synthetic grease is also fairly viscous (will move, that is) at below freezing temps. I prefer the sythetic grease over low temp grease as it seems to be just as viscous but it also is more durable. I've seen them both at L&M Fleet store, Fleet Farm, NAPA,and maybe even Menards.
These places also sell a Lithium grease that I've heard is good. Never tried it myself though, but is apparently good with low temps.
I've made the mistake before of using regular grease and then about by January my sled's grease points were so froze up/stiff that I could not add any more grease until things warmed up in March -- i'll never make that mistake again!

I have always used Super Lube synthetic grease on all of my sleds over the years. It is good down to -45 deg. F
