Well boys today was my first ride with the X-TX just west of Sudbury ON. I'm coming of a 2007 Attak (Apex LTX)
15 Minute warm up and first start
First lets talk about my 2 main worries about buying this sled.
1st. Would there be egough top end?
2nd. Fuel range
Well at first (short burst) top speed was around 88mph (speedo) but as the day progrest and as the motor started to losen up the top speed I got on the snowcoverd rode was 104 mph (speedo)
So far I'm very happy, yes the F7 had more top end but I killed him in the mid range.
Now for fuel range....ok condition were sticky and the sled was new....but I need a bigger tank fast
LOW FUEL LIGHT ON AT 76 Miles
OUT OF GAS at 88 Miles
The Sled did haven build up lots of snow in the skid something my Attak never did, good thing for lube. but also built up allot of snow on the rear of the running boards
Now for the ride! AMAZING this is a point and shot sled, the snow ruts from the loging truck didn't take the XTX of course, while my friends on the F7 and the Apex where all over the rode getting push around
End to a Great day, considering its still November at a 107 Miles....
Can't wait to get on her again!
Oh, and I don't miss the Attak one bit

Great review and thanks for taking the time to post on the site.
Something to consider on your mileage is that you were riding un-groomed trails and pushing lots of snow. By the way, which sled was breaking trail?

Very nice. Riding in November, I'm jealous.
Great pics of your ride. How did your suspension feel?
Can't wait for snow here to get mine out. Sounds like you want a TrailTank.

your gas milage will improve alot as the motor breaks in,was worried about this also at first, now after a year i am not ,other sleds in my group need gas before me.but it would be cool to have the extra fuel,

Not sure I would have been pinning the flipper to the bar on any sled under 100 miles, but its your toy.
Your fuel mileage will improve greatly as the sled breaks in more. Thats the one thing that all of us 08 owners had in common.

Looks awesome! How is the windy on that thing? I was nervous that the wind would hit you square in the neck/shoulder area.
Great pics!

Well, thats hard to tell cause the road was very smoth. I did swap with an Apex GT and the tail was all over the place, the XTX just stayed planted.

How were the skis as far as handling they were stock weren't they. Or was the snow not really deep enough to tell how they will float. Anyway great pics and thanks for the review. Same as everyone else just can't wait.
