Yamaha Rear track tensioners like to break and come loose. This will cause your tension to be loose. If you take a big fender washer and install in front of the tensioner nut this will provide extra support to keep this from happening GL!
HEADLIGHT MOUNT
Make sure to add additional zip ties to the top center headlight mount to keep it from breaking off and the headlight will come flying off.
REAR SUSPENSION TIPS
Mark all bolts with a paint pen this allow quick inspection to see if one has come loose during or after the race.
Add a bearing and longer bolt to the upper shock mount to reduce the track drag against the shock and allow studding of the center belt.
Invert the front track shock to take the sprung weight off the skid!!! (may require Machining from your suspension guy)
Front Torque are needs some additional braces to keep it from bending email me if you need pictures.
FRONT SUSPENSION TIPS
Remove the stock A-arm bolts and Add large washer to them this adds additional support in the weak sub frame area. You will also see two holes in the front spindle run a longer bolt for the upper ball joint through both holes filling the gap with washers. This allows for more support to the weak part of the spindle.
Slydog skis work great on this Phazer have tried other skis Slydogs seem to respond best to this Chassis
The other thing is you really needs to get the shocks valved for you and that will reduce the likely hood of undue stress to the rear skid. You should also install the race kit with the braces. And the 4th Wheel kit
F-Bomb Racing makes some nice Running boards to help with the snow buildup!!
More to come as I have time!!! Hopefully this helps you this is what I have learned from racing this thing so far.

Great little write up. These ideas are also good fixes for a number of the same issues the fx nytro has. I never thought about adding washers for extra support, simple idea but seems like an easy fix.
I have seen people with a little steel box type brace for the tensioners on the nytro, seems to help but still gets blown out on really hard landings.

Yeah what he said? Does this mess with valving from where the oil sits in the shock?

Ya thats what I'm wondering does the oil leak down past the shim stack when it sits for awhile.

A gas shock can be put in any position so his advice is good.Shaft down would be least wieght I think.Kind of a toss up with wieght of spring -vs-aluminum bodied shock with oil in it.

Suspention guy told me that it was to get the sprung wieght off the skid, to be honest its a very minor mod, but I let my suspention guru have full run of what he did to the skid!! All I can say is with the fox shocks it works great
