Congrats on your high mileage machine and all the riding you have done.
Let's see at ~ 4000Km per year I would have to ride for ten years to get to that mark - hope the VL can hold up like that! _________________ 08 Venture Lite (7500Km), Slydog PowderHounds/6" Studboy Shaper Bars/homemade ski savers, Skinz bumper, Exhaust mod

Bob, that is really something. I think it goes hand in hand with the saying, "Not that you would but..... if you wanted to, you could."
Possibly you are up for another Guinness Record too - Most miles ridden on one sled, ever. Hey, I say if there isn't a category, make one. I know you've got the documentation to prove it!

How has the rest of the sled been holding up..i could see everything else lasting way less than the motor. It would be very neat to have a leak down test done on that motor...as 4 strokes rarley lose much compression till they blow up. _________________ Phazer Owners: If your sled doesn't have tunnel covers, put them on and your sled will not overheat. Nuff said. |

Actually thats 38000 miles, which works out to 60800km, so you got to go over 15 years at 4000km a year.
The fact that your 05 Venture has almost double the miles of my 05 GM Sierra is kinda sad on my part. However I think my Apex will probably get higher then my truck in a few years. |

Here is a link to everything that was done to the sled since 12,000 miles.

The motor in still running extremely well.
Thanks Sean,
No desire for another GWR.
Curves have performed very well in deeper snow. Something I wasn't able to find late last season.
All the best!! _________________ Hondo sends...
