Guys my friends and I would like to get together and take a trip out west to ride some powder in the mountains. Can anyone recommend a resort or destination? It would have to rent sleds and possible have a guide. We'd like to plan this for next year.

thanks,

scott

Crooked Creek Ranch-Line Shack Lodge-Sawmill Lodge all are located outside of Dubois wyoming all i can say, it bring tears to my eyes when we leave,a trip of a lifetime you will never forget.

Crooked Creek Ranch is a full blown doo dealer, with Mtn Revs for rent and they even have a few snow hawks for rent. Line shack rents RMKs , go to google and get a link for dubois,wy or any of the above lodges. My advice is stay away from Togwotee Lodge it is full of people and the trails dont get as beat down in Dubois
Good Luck

We stayed at Togwotee (Cowboy Village) 2 years ago. Its in Wyoming and the facility and snow were beyond words. I have never seen that much snow in my life. We woke up the second day there to 4 FEET of new snow. The name of the lodge has changed to Togwotee Mountain Lodge. Heres a link for you...BBY

OH, one other thing. Get yourself in great shape, in particular your lungs. Start running, jogging...etc. 6 of us went out there and all commented if we were to do anything different would be to go with bigger lungs...BBY

I agree bby i had the headache from hell due to dehydration, drink plenty of water.
Togwotee is alright but you have lots of guide traffic doing the loop around the lodge like going up to brooks lake lodge, hey now i forgot brooks lake lodge if you got deep pockets, that just might be my first choice, i rode out there last year and had 2 cups of coffee and it was 8 bucks :drink:

I just got back from out there last week it was ok up high but it was hard packed with not much lube, and from what i have heard from my bros out there it has been 40 and sunny for a week, you always can look at Togwotees webcam, it gives me the jones.
Later

Shaf, the only time we saw any other sleds all day was when we left in the morning and when we came back at night. As soon as we were off trail, we didnt see a soul. I just thought it was a very beautiful area with some outstanding terrain...BBY

thanks guys for the reply, I'm going to check into those places!

definately sounds like something that has to be done!
