Hi guys well got back from the states and started working on lightening up my apex mtn.
I've spent around 2 weeks working 10 hours a day on it.

Started off removing the seat and exhaust and went with a boss seat and yoshi carbon rs-3 pipe which was from a R1 road bike.
Had to remove doughnuts as one was blown replaced all 4.
Better boards were next but i did mod them a little as they were a little too long for my foot area.

Then started with front a arms went with timbersled arms and oilite bushes.
Now the bushes did not come for the timbersled arms so i machined them down to fit.
Next was relocating the gauges to the handle bars and removing the light pod.
Then adding a set of trail tech hid lights mounting them to the frame.
Next came making a mold for a new hood and fuel tank cover out of carbon fiber.
Next was modding the air box using prefilter and alloy flyscreen and adding a power commander3.

And lastly a new rear bumper out of carbon and alloy.
Has made a big difference to the weight, testing will start in 3 weeks when the snow starts.

enjoy,
niko.

cheers mate, yep the boards stop right at the join. Because I had cut back my stock running boards I had to cut them back a little.

Thanks buddy - just what I wanted to hear ;)!

Great work niko, must say I envy you having winter in the middle of the summer hahaha, great to hear you have snow coming.

A lightweight carbon fibre hood would be of interest for me as well :-)
