Actually grizztracks took care of it for me , send them out last week and got them back yesterday .
A local machine shop here wanted $80.00 to do it (thief), for $30.00 grizztracks will do them and ship em back , I threw in a few extra bucks to cover the shipping , besides I'de rather encourage a TY member then a local crook .

Glad to help you out Easy. It doesn't surprise me a machine shop would charge $80. it takes about 15 to 20 min to turn and thread a fastener. I'm not trying to make money, just trying to help all the TY members.

From what it looks like you are running a die over the stock dzus fastener? I didn't care for the Trail Tank phillips head screws and I thought the thumb screws would work better than they did. I like your mod. What did you do about the relief cut into the stock Dzus fasteners? Do you turn it down to size on the lathe first?

4) cut threads with a die or lathe (I use a die, cutting threads on a lathe can be difficult and there is more chance for error)
5) install the aluminum spacer and an internal tooth washer over the fastener. (I use an undersized washer and drive it over the treads with a small socket. It replaces the plastic keeper and serves as a retainer for the spacer and prevents loosening).
The dzus fastener are shorter than the thumb screw but still have plenty of threads to hold the panels securely without loosening. I ran them last year without any problems. I also keep a couple of the thumb screws in my tool bag for spares.
