1st 2010 TY NY FINAL PLANS ARE HERE.

By a consenses here are the plans for the first 2010 TY NY ride. It will be planned for the Tug Hill, and surrounding area. It will be held from Wed. Jan.13th through Sunday Jan. 17th. If on January 9th, it looks like there will be good snow cover down in the southern tier, we will move the ride down to the Marathon area. If held in the Tug Hill area we will be staying at the Edge Hotel on Rt 12 in Lyons Falls, a very nice place. Their web site is www.theedgehotel.com tele# 1-866-348-4211. Rooms with two beds are $89+tax. This also includes breakfast. If we decide to move the ride to Marathon in the Southern Tier, you can cancel with more then 48 hrs at the Edge Hotel and get a full refund of your money. If we do go at the last minute to the Marathon area we will be staying at The Three bears Inn. Since alot of people may be driving up Wed. morning, we will start the Wed. ride at 10AM. All other days we will try to start at 9 AM, NOT 9:10 AM. If snow allows we will try to ride in a different direction every day. I will be leaving after the Sat. ride because I have to work on Sunday, but for those who want, feel free to stay and ride on Sunday. You can pratice your Snocross techniques on the Mougals on Tug Hill. Lets get some new faces this year. Come and ride all or any of the days you can make it. If you can only ride 1 day, that is fine. Check back on this post often for any updates. You can PM me with any questions. Wifes are welcome, if they are able to ride at a decent clip. No Cats, Doos, or Poohs wanted!!! Please make your reservations early as the Edge Hotel is a popular spot. They also have rooms with hot Tubs if you want to shell out the extra cash. Lets have a great first ride. Gordon

Well guys, we got little bit on the ground. and i just got word a storm is coming and and the hill could see up to a few FEET of snow through friday!!!!

Count me in! Made my reservation at The Edge Hotel this evening....and by the sounds of it (from the girl I spoke with), they were booking up pretty quick for Jaunary..so hurry and make those reservations!!

And we will have a special guest in attendance....{drum roll, please.......} The one and only Boston RX1 (Dana) will be in attendance for the ride Weds-Fri. Y'all remember him...the guy that USED TO come around these here TY parts. Hopefully this lolly-gagger will get in riding shape in time for the trip and be able to keep up with the pack!!

PS. The girl also said the restaurant at the hotel is not opened up yet and might not be ready by the time of our trip. But the bar will be open. And they will have free continental breakfast (bagels/muffins, cereal, waffles, juice, coffee, etc..) every morning, for those that are staying there.

As BBW said in the other post, the Edge has a 48 hour cancellation policy. After 48 hours you loose your deposit (one night deposit) BEFORE 48hrs, they charge you a 5% service fee, which works out to $4.85 or something like that.

Almost wet myself when I heard Dana was coming The Edge never had a restaurant before???

I am also going to be staying at the Edge. Too far for me to ride up every morning and be there by 9 AM. I'm going to shack up with Steve. Sure hope he doesn't snore. Tug hill is suppose to get 2+ feet of snow in the next 3 days. Some areas should be close to 4' by the end of the Lake effect Sat. evening. Not suppose to get much at my house though. 6" of snow this morning, but it is raining now.

Made my reservation today. I'll only be riding Wednesday & Thursday this time around, but depending on what Saturday looks like I might drive back up for the day for that ride too.

Got to hang onto the vacation so I have enough for the rest of the winter.

And, don't be giving me grief about my trailer, you just better make sure you got triple locks, alarms and the ugliest trailer in the world, so some sleazeball doesn't steal this one from you!

RX1-Man, she did not mention anything to me about price going up after MLK. Quoted me a price of $89/night plus taxes. My reservation confirmation looks to be in line with the $89/night. What price did you get quoted? Maybe she just liked me better??

When I made my reservation she first said it would be $99.00/ night, but I questioned her as to why when I was told it was $89.00. The girl then checked and said sorry, she was looking at the following week. The price goes up the week after our ride for MLK week.
