i need help what are the holes for ? there are 4 in the back and 4 in the front and do you twist the spring. please help i want to learn.

clutch sheave has holes #1 2 and3. helix has holes # 0, 3 6 and 9. ends of spring in holes determines twist degrees. eg. holes 6 and 2 =8 or 80 degrees twist. engage spring in holes and turn clockwise till cam sliders are on buttons, install bolts. most trail clutch setups run 60-80 degrees twist.

Short track (121") you need to twist 1 - 6 = 70deg w/pink marked spring
Long track (136") you need to twist 3 - 3 = 60deg w/white marked spring
