With guys wanting to get into Ton's on a budget we have been using XP take-off seats as an alternative to the Boss seat. They save $300 in the process. We have paid between $40 and $50 for them so far. They are slighly lighter than the Boss (maybe a pound or two) but once you add brackets they are about a wash. The last guy was replacing an Apex seat; the thing was heavy as a couch. Both the Boss and the XP offer substantial weight savings over stock. We have about 6 tough rides on them so far and they seem to hold up fine. The photos are pretty much self explanatory. Rear supports lean forward as well as inward.

Do yourself a favour and put on the fuel tank as well. It moves a ton of weight off the nose of the sled. I'm running the old Rev style tank and it is awesome.

Can someone point me to where I can pick up one of these seats for $50? Having no luck finding one in all the usual places. I'm seeing $150 or so.

Also, i've only been able to find black fuel tanks, which models came with the clear ones? I'd like to ditch my gas gauge as well

Please help someone that lives in the heart of silicon valley, besides e-bay where would one find a used tank? Anyone have a clear one they wanna sell?

Skark,
I'm in Redwood City, wondering the same thing.

I did some research on the clear tanks, people don't like them, they turn yellow from the sun.

The black tanks supposedly have a clear window on them so you can see your fuel level.

I found some guys on West Coast Sledders who have extra tanks and seats, one guy offered $275 if you want I can send you his contact info. It wasn't cheap enough for me so I am still looking.

Not sure why people are asking so much for the rev tank. There is alot of them up here. Most of them around $100cdn. I went with the black so it blends in abit better. The black tap as a built in float, the white doesnt.
