yamaheater starter option?

If I understand what your asking, the 'starter' wire on the Yamaheater is designed to connect to a Sledstart remote starter. When the sled is remote started, this wire signals Yamaheater to Max heat, no matter the setting you left it at when you shut the sled off. This will preheat the bars after an overnight or lunch stop.

You need both a Yamaheater and Sledstart for this to work, otherwise that wire is 'extra'. Hope that helps. ;)!

I'm not sure I sent the yamaheater guy a question before my order he said if I bought thumb and regular he would throw in the starter, this is what he said it was- "stuck starter warning system that warns you if your starter sticks in the ON condition"
Just wondering if anyone nows anything more

Ohhhhhhh, that's the starter protection thingy. I believe it's a light that will indicate if your starter is stuck in the engaged position or comes on while riding.

I'll PM Rock and see if he can't elaborate or provide a link with more info.

Hi Guys!

Crew is correct, the Starter Saver is a Warning Indicator that warns you if your starter sticks on due to icing of the starter control relay.

Unfortunately, if your starter DOES stick on, there is no indication, or even a sound, to indicate that there is a problem until your sled dies.
At the time your sled dies, usually the starter is burnt along with the associated wiring.
In the worst case, it will also take out the stator.

A very expensive repair unfortunately.

I built these after it happened to a few guys here including Jake 04RX1, a friend of mine.
Sell them basically at my cost after I pay the guys to make them.

It flashes a very bright red light if there is a problem, giving you a chance to correct it before it does serious damage & leaves you stranded.

Hope this helps!

Rock :-o

Hey thanks Rock and crew chief, I don't know if I will be ordering by friday but I think I might go for the entire package, sometime soon,One of the main complaints of my yamah vehicles is the cost of some parts, the head on my yzf 426 is 1500. the carb is 2000. and that starter is very exspensive to.
