Checking out the 2011 Apex XTX for studding and noticed there's only 1/4 of an inch to spare where the new exhaust is in the middle near the front? Anyone come up with a solution yet?

Nope.... I don't know yet what lenght I will put. I've change my track for a 1 inche, so I have 1/2 inche gap between the track and tunnel protector now. But the thing is that I still have only 1/4 inche gap between tunnel protector and muffler. I don't know what to do with it. Anybody else?????

Picking mine up today
I put 1.325 on it, lots of people are telling me that there might be an issue!
I will post pictures later

I studded my XTX with 1.325's and it looks too close for comfort in the center section near the EXUP. I'm preparing to take preventative measures.
I purchased some 1" x 1/4" aluminum stock and I plan on riveting it on to the existing tunnel protectors. I think this will work as the studs only stick up above the track lugs by 1/4".

didnt pick up the sled yet but went to see the studs, it looks super tight.
they added some sort of protector that wouldnt allow the track to get to close to the muffler, hope that will work.
once i get more info i will post

I took on this project today and I have some tips I will share. My sled is an Apex XTX.
Parts:
(2) 4' sections of 1" x 1/4" aluminum flat stock [Lowes]
(2) Rivet-Tite #47888 rivet 5 packs. These are 3/16" large dome. [Pep- Boys]
(6-10) 6-8" nylon ties (optional)
Tools:
Right angle drill with 3/16" bit.
Right angle rivet gun.
Cutter for nylon ties
Dremel/hacksaw to cut 45 deg. angle.
Safety glasses.
I cut the ends of each piece of stock at a 45 degree angle. I then secured each piece of flat stock to the existing tunnel protectors using nylon ties. This was a trick that worked well for me. 4 feet of stock doesn't cover the entire tunnel protector but it covers most of it. I set mine starting at 9 & 3/4" from the rearward end of the stock tunnel protector. Once the stock was in place I drilled 5 ~evenly space holes (be sure to have one at each end) in the stock right through the tunnel protector. I used 5 rivets per side and I can sleep better knowing I have a little extra protection. A nice bonus of using this technique is that you do not have to take your sled apart to do it.
Now for the disclaimer: Do not attempt this if you don't have the proper skills. I in no way claim that this modification will work as intended. This mod may void some or all of your Yamaha Warrantee. Perform this mod at your own risk!

Here is a pic of my SE. IT looks like it will be fine for stud clearance.

Plenty of stud clearance there. Track is very close to the protectors just like it was with the last Apex's. I don't see a problem. Everyone getting all worked up over nothing.

Here's a pic:
All models may not have the same clearance from the factory. Mine was too close to call. To each his own whether any modifications are necessary. Good luck!
One more thing, I wasn't trying to show clearance in the pic, just the new extensions.

Don't forget that a ripsaw has a soft lug that folds somewhat, and drives the stud up futher when the track slaps the tunnel

Are the added pieces beveled any at the rear? If not the track will catch the end of the added piece when the skid bottoms out, and likelty tear lugs off.
