Was at a dealer today and saw a new Nytro xtx with the front outside bogeys in the mounting holes in front of the front suspension arm. My xtx's front bogeys are behind the front suspension arm. Just curious if Yamaha changed the location for a certain reason? Or the tech at the shop mounted them in the wrong location. just curious.

Humm that would mean the coil sping arms are longer, yes?
My dealer said that Yamaha has changed some things in the boggey on the xtx, because it was some problem white the shocks and suspension geometri. dont now exacly.
The front mounting holes fore the spring that controls the center boggie shock is hinger than it was on the later models, i also thing that yamaha have changed the possion fore some boggie wheels to prevent burning slids.
Sorry fore my bad english

So then... Maybe Yamaha has come around for 2011.
All my issues in the front chassis were fixed then?
Limiter Strap, shock mount too low, better wheel placement?
Maybe the 2011 Apex guys will be ok then?
I'll need to go to a dealer myself and have a closer look at one.
As the sales brochures do not show this as fixed.
Sneaky fix with no official press update, maybe?

Just had a quick look at the 2011 XTX micro fiche.
Yep... Yamaha is using a different rear spring arm slider. (holder)
No longer behind the front idler.
It is moved higher to avoid the spring hitting the idler.
The outside idler is moved forward in front of the swing arm pivot.
Different idler holder also.
Spring may be different too?
And the main swing arm has a new part number.
It is now clear we had issues with 2009-2010 models.

Where did you find the 2011 XTX micro fiche? I'd like to have a look. Been trying to figure out the shock issue my self.

You can find the Micro Fiche off the yamaha Site. Go to the Parts Locator http://yamaha-motor.ca/partscatalogue/

TY rules! I get more info out of these forums then paid techs that work on these sled at shops. Is there something that's hitting on my suspension that I'm missing? Front spring to idlers?
Come to think of it, the bogeys were smaller ( cool looking too!) And seemed to sit lower as Yukon stated. Should or can we move our front bogeys forward like the 11's? Do you think it will help?

They are the same part number in the microfiche, so they shouldn't be any smaller.

I'm looking into this and want to see a 2011 up close and personal.
I'd say don't just move forward or add any outside wheels on 2009 - 2010 models yet, stuff will hit!!

way to stay on this mach... I was just thinking last night...these poor dudes with 11 xtx and apex xtx's...if they only knew...
and here theres some changes...the center wear from studs is more of an issue to me than the limiter strap issue...
I'll be watching!

I'm still not convinced that the center shock mount was moved higher by that much.
The only P/N that has changed that could make any difference is the main pivot arm. And it would be hard to tell without taking one apart and doing some comparison gauge measurement. But by moving the outside wheels forward on 2011 models this may help the track stay flatter (less flex) as they are more inline near the lower shock mount area.
Now that I know better, in my opinion any center line studs will always be a bad idea even on a 2011 XTX.
