Vemture GT report

I have had my Venture GT for about 850 miles now. Black mate to my APEX => they look nice together!!


Observations

-Suspension set up, scary tippy in corners in stock form

**##**(much improved with the HONDO adjustments of 2 turns looser front skid shock spring, Rear spring plastic block to soft, ski's softer to not rattle when suspended and 2-3 clicks tighter on compression damping of ski shocks.)

My son describes the change as 'a whole different sled' it went from I don't like to I really like the sled

-SMOOOOOTH RIDE!!!!!!! WOW follow my neighbors on the REVS and smooth

-Motor I understand why so many love this motor lots of scoot and good growl. In deep snow will run with my 128 Apex (06) to 70 on hard pack or over 70 in snow Apex leaves it BUT I think this is great for a 2 up

Wind shield - getting used to the look, but actually have to dress much different when on the Venture (warm and NO wind) as compared to the Apex with Medium Wind sheild

Darting - Minimum to date, did have one day when I noticed it some, otherwise NOT and issue. I have Bergstrom tripples and shims on the Apex and like it. Haven't decided if I will go dual carbides or bergstrumss if it does become a problem. Met a guy on the trail absolutely in love with his duallies. Who knows? Don't see it as a big enough deal to spring for the ultimate Curves as of yet.


Todate I love this sled.


I think if you are expecting a 2 up sled and not a railing tight twisty rocket you will not be disapointed AFTER the suspension changes above. Before those changes, my son correctly said Dad lets not let any newbies drive that thing. It was tippy.

In SHORT I like it alot.

I have a 09 with 13,500KMs and love it , I also adjusted the suspension softer and added Snotrackers , very ,very dependable touring sled

wow,we must ride exactly the same mileage,my 09 vector has 13 449 km

My wife really likes riding behind me on this sled. I think she will like even more now that the suspension is so much better(did the suspension adjustments while she was away)

She reports it is comfortable to drive and ride. Is looking forward to the less tippy nature.

She wanted me to report for the other wives.

My wife sits on the back with here Ipod cranked up , we put on serious miles on the GT and can do 300Km days and get off without any sore bodies , the sled is a couch for sure

My wife read the comment on the IPOD and I think she may be doing the same.

Any other thoughts on improving the Venture GT experience?

How many have put on duallies or anyone try bergstrom triples and shims?

yamadoo,are you the one who came from riding an apex to a 2up venture,

Yes I am blessed to still have both the 06 Apex - stretched to 128 and the new Venture GT s well as older XTC.

I love them both, they are different and both fun if you have your expectations in reality. Neither is a railing SRX. How can I help?

I put a visor plug at the back for the Mrs , I find I had to play with transfer rods to get Accel and deaccel to that sweet spot , also put on a thumb drive to help the hand cramps

i was thinking,MAYBE,my next sled could be a venture for when the wife doesnt want to drive,i would keep my vector,but i'm kinda ify to go to a touring sled,the windsheild is so big,doesnt look the best,but overall,it looks like a comfy ride,how's the power,also i'm 6'3'',dont want to be cramped as i heard it is tight in the cockpit,what do you think
