3wheeler. Unbelievable! It's needed for a 2007 Venture lite. 24 inches high and 34 wide. There are holes for 9 Allan screws along the bottom edge. I have pictures if you pm me.
I get to Ottawa on work a few times a year, p/u no problem.
Thanks
Late yesterday afternoon my wife accidentally tipped our machine over in a very tight turn on a trail going very slowly. It was just a bunch of factors caused the tip over, no damage or injury, but it took about 5 minutes to get it upright. Ran fine after. I will check the oil level, but could...

Thx, I sort of figured as much from other posts. Hard to tell the correct one when it doesn't click! I've got a 9 am appointment with a new to me dealer (5 star Yamaha) in the morning who is going to do it for me in his warm shop. Better safe than sorry. Also putting in a new battery...
Anticipating a problem and looking for a fix. My 07 VL refused to start a few days ago at a lodge NE of Sudbury. The hairdryer trick worked and we ran fine for 2 days. To be sure I had the lodge owner pick up a new fuel relay from the local Sudbury dealer, but we didn't install it as yet...
Thanks guys. Talked to a good mechanic and he agreed.
Heating probably due to hard packed trail and low speeds. (I never saw this on my 08, so my being cautious until coolant was checked was fair). I will get it out next weekend for a decent run and watch it.
Oil issue something to watch...
While you are in there, add some remote, permanent Booster cables so you can jump start, or trickle charge the machine if necessary. They saved my bacon on my Venture GT yesterday at -30c and a 5 year old battery (now replaced).
As a previous owner of a 2008 Venture Gt I felt fine purchasing a 2007 model as a 2nd machine for wife/ friends to go in to the cottage. This one had one owner, 5000k, studded and had all warrany and services done, price $2500. I have some concerns mentioned below and can still run from this...
I was once told to wash a new belt in water with a few drops of dishwashing detergent, towel dry it and leave it overnight to dry completely. The reason being to get all the oil and residue off the belt from the manufacturing process and speed the belt break in. Made sense to me.
Bought one the other day. The wise guy in the parts department told me the most important aspect installing a new battery is reading the instructions, specifically putting the new battery on a trickle charger for 12 hours after adding the acid and not just installing it in the machine. My kind...
I bought a lightly used one for my wife. Fully aware of the issues and know everything was taken care of by the former owner. However....
The carbides are a bit worn and I was about to throw on a set of semi extreme SnowTrackers on it (original skis) because they have just done such an...
Well I hate breaking down. I change the impellors in my boat's I/O every 2 years. The YUSA rep at the snowmobile said 4 years was the operational widow. I am planning to run Northern Ontario in Feb and it can be cold. 3 cyl 1000cc..... Etc etc.
Going to happen, just looking for pointers.
My 09 RS VENTURE GT still has its original Yusa battery from new. I tried to get my dealer to install a new one last fall but he refused (!) saying it passed the load test perfectly. Well guess what, it worked flawlessly last winter. While I appreciate an honest dealer, I'm demanding a new one...
