Baffin boots, my feet get cold easy, and they are the ONLY boots that have cured that issue. One day last winter is was -24F, and my feet were warm. I also wear wool socks when I ride.

I'm going to try a new battery first. It won't hold more than 12.3 volts. I shut the charger off, put my tester on it, and I'm only seeing 12.3.. even the dealer said I should see 12.6-13 volts fully charged.

I took the battery into Yamaha today, had them test it, and it tested fine. Starting to think the starter solenoid is bad, all it wanted to do is click. Battery had 12.3 volts when I tried. Even with that low of voltage it should try to turn over.

Thanks guys, I'm not sure how to load test it.. but I did check for parasitic loss. I put my tester on 200 milliamps, and saw a loss of 00.1 which I'm going to guess is fine. Battery after an hour dropped to 12.17 volts with the positive cable not hooked up. I'm going to say it needs a battery...

Well I will buy a clutch puller, and check it out! I just don't want to damage anything. To me, something just does not sound right. It's a bearing/whining noise.

It's not clutch rattle, it's bearing noise. Yamaha's are famous for clutch rattle. This sounds nothing like it.

I have my fuel screws out 2.5 turns, and get it to idle around 1,600rpm or just high enough so you don't hear the clutch rattle.

I'm hoping mine was just the idle screw. I plan to pull my carbs off this weekend, and go through them just to be safe.

If you touch the choke, and the rpm's drop.. it could mean you have an air leak after the carbs. Mine was having the same issue recently.. but mine wound up being the idle screw turned up WAY too much.
