I’m helping my buddy out with a couple of clutching issues, and I want to make sure that some of the same rules apply as compared to my Nytro. My biggest question to throw out there is what kind of track speed are you guys getting with the track up in the air? With my Nytro, when the belt is...
Thanks guys, Speedo bearing is fine (part of yearly maintenance). I was hoping to find an accurate method that didn’t involve dropping the skid. But ya, I’m going to drop the skid today, and fight my inner demons that tell me to stretch the track for more off trail.
Hey guys,
I believe I have a bent skid or some issue in the rear end. In order to centre the track I need to tighten the adjuster on the one side significantly tighter than the other side, to the point of over an inch difference in track sag. If I somewhat match the sag from side to side then...
Here is a shining example of the type of real sledders that frequent this site. Here is the last message I received from zx4ever.
"I sent it out. It fit in the envelope slot and only cost 2$ hope it works out for you pay it forward to someone else."
After dealing with the lack of knowledge at...
I had to park my sled outside for a while this summer as I was building a new sled shed to give it a better home. And like the title says, the little bastards built a nest on the engine, and they ate the coil (plug) wires. They also messed with one of the connectors, so I'm not able to simply...
To anyone that was interested in the outcome, sorry but its going to be a while. While out testing a few things last Friday, I was stopped by the Timmins Police, and charged for having a modified exhaust. Yep, completely unbelievable! There was no way to get out of it, they would not negotiate...
Like I said, I have been working on the high RPM issue, I have added more weight to the tips then they have seen needed before at Schmidt Bros. My shifting RPM's are fine, its just my top Rpm's that are messed up, but they are 9200 tops, so far from the rev limiter.
I agree that the fueling is...
I have been fighting a battle with my max Rpm's for a few years now, lol. I started off with a clutch kit that had tip weights somewhere around 2g's, I have slowly increased the tips up to 4.5 grams just to get a top Rpm down to 91-9200. I'm not wanting to add any more weight to the tips in fear...
