    Bogie wheels

Getting ready to leave for a trip in the U.P. and after inspecting my sled, the 4 inner bogie wheels at the front of the skid are mostly de laminated. Is this normal? Is it an absolute necessity to replace these for a 500 mile trip? Thanks in advance.

Broken Carbides. Never ever seen this before.

I have never ever seen this happen before. Sent the pictures to all my sledding friends and no one else has either. 500 miles, 7.5 studboy shapers on sly dog skis . I'm going to send the pics to the company. And of course this happened on a back pack trip in the U.P. Had to buy new skis...

Viper wouldn't start, oil light was on.

So last week in the U.P. we were riding along for an hour or so. Stopped at a stop sign outside Mass city for a break. After sitting there 10 minutes or so my viper wouldn't start. The oil light was on and a code flashed but honestly can't remember what the number was. We took panels off...

tunnel Ice- anyone ever figure out a way to stop it?

Well the Teflon spray treatment WORKED!!! And I only sprayed it down before I left. 4 day trip and it didn't wash off. It wasn't "perfectly" clean from ice but it was damn close. I even sprayed down the taillight and it didn't ice over, which was a first! Only thing I did was be proactive...

tunnel Ice- anyone ever figure out a way to stop it?

Headed back to Hurley this week. I bought some Teflon based ice repellant at Menard's. I figure I'll give it a try before pulling the skid and building a plate. I'll let you all know if it works

Warning for riders for Munising Michigan

I had a similar problem in Newberry a few years ago for breaking a curfew by 8 minutes that i knew NOTHING about. No signs, no notices, not even a printed disclaimer on the map. When i told hotel owner about getting a ticket he said that they were having major problems with that particular...

tunnel Ice- anyone ever figure out a way to stop it?

After being in the U.P. a couple weeks ago when it was extremely cold i trailer the sled home to Indiana. As the sled thawed out i saved the chunks of ice coming out of the tunnel. Not only was i amazed at the size but the weight of it all was ridiculous. I've had this sled for 5 years and...
