Midwest 509 rep here...
If you have contacted 509 you are in their ticket system and they are sending out replacement upgraded parts as they come in.
They are shipping these parts in the order that customers have contacted 509 regarding the issue(s).
The 3 items that 509 has developed to...
Be sure to use the 90deg plug as it stays connected better..push in and twist. Put a dab of silicon on the exposed wire. Also contact 509 to get your hands on the list for the update kit that will be available eventually. It sucks but they are committed to fixing the issues. It doesn't help you...
Yes, you need to contact 509 and give them your info. If prompted to leave a message please do so...Otherwise I believe there will be a link eventually where you can submit your info for the update kit. I'm the 509 rep for Wi/Mn/Ia/Dakota's and can tell you that this is a plan that is developing...
Guys 509 is aware of the issues and fixes are in the works. 509 isn't going to leave anyone hanging here.. They value their reputation. Issues to be adressed/fixed are a plug kit for the chin bar vents (next year's model will have closeable vents + the plug kit), a new wire that locks into the...
That's the cool thing about the Mohawks... They act like powder pros in the deep stuff and Straight Line Trackers on the trail. Go with the Mohakws, you won't be disappointed!
I liked my Powder Pro's.. then upgraded to SLP Mohawks and am very satisfied running their 6" carbides.
I do think these threads get to be a but like oil threads though... everyone thinks what they have is the best and etc..
my contribution...admittedly not for everyone but just wanted to be a little loud in the graphics department this year. I'm thinking some blue ski loops would look good.
Anyway, it's the 509 Prizm wrap that you can order from Powersports 1. 509 also offers a ton of other graphics for your sled...
Well she's finally done! Well, mostly..always a work in progress of course. Still need to install blue ski loops.
Anyway, electrical gremlins ironed out.. Actually, I was just being a dumb #*$&@ and had the bar harness plugged into the guage harness (they both fit each other) and after that it...
Someone would make a decent profit selling a stainless hardware upgrade kit for all SR Vipers. I bet a poll would indicate the number 1 gripe with most owners is the garbage fasteners Cat uses in this sled. I'm looking at you low grade Torx bolts/screws.
IDK, I didn't buy my Viper for top speed. I don't need to go over 100.... getting to around 90 in the shortest time possible while handling well in the corners is of more interest to me.
I wonder if Hygear or Fox do any sort of shock Dyno testing to their products before delivery or do they just slap them together and send them out the door?
It really depends on the charger you use. If you use a high efficiency (or switched mode) charger (CTEK, NOCO, or the new HE Battery Tender's) you don't have to worry about over-charging between charging cycles... just leave them hooked up and don't worry about it!
