Call Deycore and have them build you one...I have their product on both ATVs, UTVs and all my sleds. Good prices, great service, fine product...never an issue. Scott is an honest operator.
(651) 430-9642 All Deycore custom shocks have interchangeable parts with FOX and ACT...which is pretty cool.
I went to order the skis from port yamaha and they recommended I go with MTX skis instead for ditch and powder riding. The same Bergstrom triple points will work fine on those as well.
What does everyone think of that setup? Should be good off trail and decent on trail I would think.
Called and talked to Scott B...he told me to go with
normal yamaha single keel ski part number
8EX-23711-00-BK
and the triple points and I would be in much better shape than trying to fix the tuners, even with his product. He said the dual carbide tuner makes the sled inherently "tipsy" when...
I called and talked to Bergstroms. Scott hates the tuner skis, but he makes a setup for them. I am thinking I should get different skis and then put the triple bergstroms on those...just need to decide which skis.
Was was riding the 2014 xtx phazer in the ditches of Iowa today. First time out this season, and still only 110 miles on the sled to very new to it.
Seems like it really is hard to steer and tends to "push" or snowplow vs turn. Perhaps I need to shift my weight over the skis or...
ahhh...I was talking about the wrench needed to change the torsion spring pressure from soft to medium to hard...7/8 seems best, but I don't have a similar size metric to test. Need to find that out because the last time I needed to change them I had to use a crescent and nearly ruined the...
I ordered up a 1 1-16 for my 2014 xtx and it is way too big...looks like 7/8 is closer to the right size. You might want to double check depending on model and year.
Everything is here...appointment made for Sat...hopefully it all goes smoothly.
Install complete! Dealer was concerned they would have to splice electrical wires and parking brake, but after disconnecting everything and doing a lot of rerouting it all went together with no splicing required...
I have the rox adjustable 4-6 inch on the way. Also have throttle and brake line extensions. Going to have my dealer do the install. Will I need to extend any electronics and if so, how do I do that?
Thanks guys,
interesting point...perhaps they are just supposed to be left as is...I have reviewed my manual and see nothing about them whatsoever. On my polaris sleds, they detail the 3 settings of the blocks in great depth.
Should have clarified...I was speaking of a phazer xtx...went out in the shop and checked...it has torsion springs and blocks so I am going to say it is coupled.
What did you use and what did you have to extend to make it work? I have the 2.5 inch on my 2014 phazer xtx and it is not nearly enough. I need to be closer to the 5-6 inch level.
The back issue comes from a sharp impact to the tail bone...So as long as I am standing, no issue. In fact, my therapy for recovery right now from my latest incident is walking...the more I am standing and walking the faster I will get my mobility back.
So, powder riding is actually safer for...
