I have a btx and am not happy with the way it handles boondocking. Way too hard to get on edge and that's with the sway bar disconnected. Spent a few days in Colorado on the btx, a RMK and a Summit. The 2 stroke mountain sleds are in a league of their own vs my btx. The 2 stroke are soooooo...
Buddy just had his ltx serviced. Now it's running rough at idle. Sounds like it's running on 2 cylinders. Oil was high. We got it back p where it should be. Still rough idle. Any ideas?
How does a sidewinder handle on trails with sway bar disconnected? I'm riding a 17 btx se. I assume I will want to bump up the ski shock pressure. Anyone have a good starting point.
Heading to Colorado next week. will be mostly off-trail riding but don't want to rollover on the trails...
Just wanted to share my experience with GSE Performance's power steering kit. Installed on my 17 sidewinder. Install was a breeze despite the instructions looking very involved. I'm VERY pleased with the quality of the components. I'm sure this kit was challenging to develop, and they nailed it...
Going from a ltx viper to a btx sw, amazed how much the btx bucks on rough trails compared to the ltx. Anyone try a coupling kit? Thoughts? Likes/ dislikes?
Anyone ever try mounting one of the Nitro slash Apex style snow flaps to a sidewinder? I'm about tired of not being able to use all of the bumper.

I couldn't believe it! Its tight, but she fits! Top is a Bear Claw. It has a kick out in the front. I was about to sell and buy a 12'. Thought I would try it for the heck of it, glad I did!
It sure would be nice if a rider could hit a bar mounted button that would activate an exhaust butterfly to tame a loud exhaust when needed. Seems like noise restrictions are getting more strict each year. Anyone see any kits available? Maybe something for BOP to look into? Travis?
Pretty dang awesome, but i think a winder still wins!

I bought a btx add the end of the season. Only put 350 miles on it. On trail I noticed a little bit of darting, and a lot of steering effort required. I wanted to get a set of slim Jim's, but they aren't available. Woodys said they would not be making any unless Yamaha requested them.
I...
Where do you guys recommend hooking a tow strap when towing another sled. I had to tow my buddy last season and was scared after seeing the pictures of the btx with a bent tunnel that I might do some damage I was on a Viper LTX at the time. I doubled the strap up, putting an end on the left and...
I see this very often...someone calling a set of runners slim jim doolys. Please correct me if I am wrong...but there are Slim Jims and there are Doolys, they are two similar styles, but they are not the same and/or one.
How do the curve skis work for mountain riding? I've got a btx, and ride trails most of the time, but looking at going out west some. What about xs vs xsm...looks like the xsm give up a lot of floatation?
The stock skis aren't bad, but I do
notice a little darting on trail and more...
Why do the DuPont slides not have inserts all the way to the end? Also what about the MTX version slides do they have more inserts than the standard slides?
My buddy came out of a hole on his Sidewinder and when the sled stopped it landed on its side and some how the throttle got pinned. It ran wide open for probably 5 Seconds, by about 3 seconds it was pouring oil smoke out the exhaust. We let it sit for probably 10 minutes. Cranked it up and of...
What can be done to help an ltx in the powder? Bigger skis of course. What about the transfer rod?...take it out? Any risk of shock damage? Pull limiter straps? Anything else?
