i put a mono susp in the wifes 05 vector 121" you would need the 2 front mounting brackets they will line up with the rivet holes that are there I can,t think if I changed the rear , much better ride for her , I did have it beefed up it has been in there maybe 5 years , it was a easy swap.

did it run low on coolant and you had to add a lot. you may have air in system , lift rear of sled , run sled , remove plug in rear crossover to get air out then reinstall small plug.

yes it will hold up fine , the main thing to do is the beef up kit . i have 3 of them never had a problem once the beef up kit was done. make sure you adjust your transfer rod right.

if you have the mono shock susp. it is the transfer rod , it,s normal to here it at slow speeds.

check that switch with a ohm meter it sound like it is not makeing & breaking properly , just because it is clean dosen,t mean it is good.

don,t use starting fluid , just get a squirt can and fill it with gas spray into carbs while starting , once it starts turn it off put your air box on properly and you are ready to go.

cat man is right put a 50 pilot in it and make sure carbs are clean , it will take longer to warm up when cold to idle right .

if it is 03 04 05 rx1 buy the yamaha heater to hook up the wireing .

secondary did you take the clutches off to clean , did you wrap the secondary & spring to the proper holes

just grind the clamps a little bit then tighten.

after you clean them make sure you put airbox on to test .

on the vector the pilots are bigger than say the rx1 they don,t plug as easy , i think the is 45 pilot you need to put in 50 let it warm 2-3 minutes longer when cold sled should be fine. i think that is the pilot # just look at your chart for stock & go to next size. the vector will respond...

if i were you guys i would start with stock parts in the clutch & secondary , & work from there , you could have diff parts in ther that don,t match , stock is smooth. with your belt their is adjustment behind secondary , if new belt you may need to adjust it.

once you let off it will backfire at low rpm if you don,t watch it it will shut off , then you start it , it will run fine till the next time. when you change the switch let us know if it worked for you , it sure fixed mine.

it is the switch under the idle adjustment screw mine would do what yours is doing , changed the switch never did it again , real easy to change.

set your idle at 1500 +or -100 once the engineis fully warmed up

if you are talking about the transfer rod on the mono shock susp it does move or the front stabaliser bar mine moves a littli maybe 1/4 in.

carbs the way you store it makes a big diff , hes right we have 3 of them never had any problems , i have removed them just to make sure but they are always clean
