I think this was the first year Yamaha put injection on the Vector. Was there any issues with the change? Also I think this was the first year for the 1049 motor. How was that compared to the 973? My 06 gernaded, and don't know why.

Last week a piston broke in my 973 Vector motor, then broke the rod. Will a newer motor interchange with this one as long as I put my carbs back on? Will all the electrical connectors hook right up, or do I need a 2006 motor?

Took my Apex out for the first time this season, went to start it, turned over good but then slowed down. It wouldn't start or even fire. Through my trickle charger on for a half hour, and then it started right up. Never had this happen. Do these motors need a good charged up battery to start...

Just out riding, coming up the lake 5500-6000rpm, started vibrating bad, stopped. Looks like I broke a piston. Wrist pin went through the block. No lights or any warning. Had good oil and coolant. What the best thing to do now? Trade or put a motor in?

When my sled is sitting still I can turn the handlebars 10-15 degrees in either direction. Is something worn out? If so what needs to be replaced? Thanks

I put an Ulmer Clutch kit on my 06 Vector GT. Shifts much smoother and seems to run better, but RPM is higher. What should the max RPM be? It seems to like 8000-8500, maybe a little more. Thanks

My 06 Vector shifts ok, but not as good as my Apex. Who do people like for a better clutch setup on the Vector? Should I have the secondary done as well? I do a lot of trail riding, nothing to rough and some lake riding. Just looking for better clutching. Thanks
