    2105 / 16 Newberry Area Conditions

1-11-2016 Well my first thread post isn't much later than last years, though the reasons are entirely different. We haven't had enough snow to make it worthwhile to move my machine. Groomers have been running the trails for a couple weeks now, but I'm not sure what they've been grooming...

    Plug for going VIP

Just want to say a big thank you to MrSled for the bag of goodies I received for winning the January 2015 Treasure Hunt, including this "mad bomber" hat. Just one of the many perks to contributing to this awesome site!

    2014 / 15 Newberry Area Conditions

1-7-2015 Well, better late than never! I've been so wrapped up in a lot of family related stuff that I haven't had much time for anything else! Despite all that, conditions now seem to be shaping up nicely around the area as we got another 4-9" (10-23 cm) dumped on us last night. There's...

    2013 / 14 Newberry Area Trail Report

12/17/2013 The trails across private property were opened on Monday (12/16/2013) and there is actually enough snow to make it worthwhile. This is the earliest the area has been froze up solid and had decent snow in recent history. There have been a few sleds already through the area and I...

    2012/13 Newberry Area Trail Conditions

12/20/2012 Well the season is officially here! The gates on the trails across private properties are opened (as of last monday-12/17). There is a small amount of snow on the ground currently, but there is a big winter storm moving in today with a possible +12 inches (+30.5 cm) of snow...

    TY helped replace hyfax

I just got a good deal on a 2002 V-max 600 for my wife. The only real issue with the sled is that someone had swapped out the original track for an 1 1/2" lug Camoplast. This wouldn't have been a problem except it looked like they ran exclusively on ice after switching tracks (the hyfax was...

    2011/12 Newberry Area Trail Conditions

01/05/2012 Well we're back! Hell of a late start as I looked at my last years reports and we were riding on Dec. 13. Finally, there is enough snow to groom and the old logging trails are getting a good covering. Average is around 8" (20cm) on the ground right now but the temps are forecast...

    2010/11 Newberry Area Trail Conditions

Winter is here! The gates are all open across private land on the trail headed out of Newberry as of today (12/13/2010). As of now I do not believe all trails have been groomed but it certainly has been cold enough to firm up the swamps [I had 6 F (-14 C)] and we have about approx 12" (30...

Will RX-1 Panel fit RS Rage?

I'm looking to replace the clutch side (left) lower panel and was looking at the part numbers for the corresponding panels on an RX and RS. The right side lower panel (brake side) is has the same part number for both RX and RS (8FA-2198H-00-00) but the left (clutch) side is 8FA-2197H-00-00 for...

    2009/10 Newberry Area Trail Conditions

Hi all! It's that time of year again! The trails crossing state land are now open! However the trails that cross private land will not open until December 13. That means the trail leading out of Newberry just north of the Railroad tracks won't be open until this Sunday. If you drive...

    2008/09 Newberry Trail Conditions

12/22/2008 Greetings all! Trails are now all open in the Newberry Area as muzzleloader deer season is over and all of the gates are open. I haven't had a chance to get out on the trails as of yet but here is what I know: 1. The groomer has been out (seen tracks where it crosses the...

    Rox Riser on a Rage

I just installed a Rox 2" Pivot Riser on my 2005 Rage. I really like the higher position of the handle bars (I'm 6'3") but now I have a new problem. When I took it out for the last ride this season, I was jumping off some hills and I landed it a little hard. I ended up pivoting the riser all...

    2007/08 Newberry Trail Conditions

Well, we're off to a better start this year than last. Some trails are still gated off (easement across owners who hunt the elusive white tail) but the groomer has headed out at least once that I have seen. ;)! There is approximately 2 feet of the white stuff on the ground. Even out where...

    Stu made the leap

Hi all! Spent just about a year looking around on TY for free and I figured it was time to give credit where credit is due. I know, I know, don't have an avatar yet, but I'll get one eventually. Just wanted wanted to take this opportunity to say: :rocks:

2006/07 Trails the in Newberry Area

FYI the groomers went out for the first time in a long time on the trails north of Newberry. The snow is still a little thin and tender but the groomers were able to go through and leave snow without tearing up the trails. Paradise, MI looked like they had at least 10" of snow on the trails...
