Just doing a lil research for a friend going to buy his FIRST snowmobile, an '08 Phazer mtx with over 11600 kms...
Any known issues? Sled looks clean and well maintained, but I've never had a phazer so I can't help him out with that info.
Any info would be great...
Let's get this guy on his...
You have a backup sled to keep riding when sled in shop/down?
Or a rack for extra parts and emergency gear?
How much do u have invested in your viper?
Looks like you enjoy wrenching on it as much as you enjoy riding it.
I won't buy the first year model of anything again after my viper purchase. The warranty is a nice peace of mind and I wish I would've paid for as long as they would cover, but when it was $2300 for 3yrs when my $50000 truck was roughly that for 10 yrs I passed on it. Warranty is only as good...
Thank you. It's what I thought and has been the added bonus to my frustrations, but likely won't be returning again for sales or service. Where in NWO are u?
So when a foot of fresh dumps, you get so excited to gear up to go for a ride (I've read your posts as you dance in the office), only to go out fingers crossed and hope your $16000 "reliable" machine starts? If it doesn't, oh well you'll just count the flakes as they fall? Really?
With the...
After reading all of these failures I'm seriously thinking on switching brands! Just trying to salvage this $16000 purchase...if I can change the starter I might keep it.
Curious if anyone has changed everything needed themselves once their starter failed? Majority of what I'm seeing is everything has been under warranty and dealer has changed it. In the ballparks of $1900 in parts and warranty costs somewhere around $4-5000 with engines being pulled etc...
HOLY FAWK! This is my biggest fear that my starter or actuator goes and I'm 200+ kms away from anything. My favourite riding area has amazing terrain and hundreds of kms of untouched snow, but hardly any cell service. The majority of the time I ride alone, but have check in times so ppl know...
I was curious myself last night and found a post on here about just adding another washer but haven't gotten thru the whole thing as its an older post with 40 some pages.....http://www.ty4stroke.com/threads/trying-the-8dn-belt.127054/
Seems a lot of ppl looking for a top end edge for drags or...
Have never run Gates or Ultimax but which would u recommend? Do you have to change anything besides the belt or is it like changing to 8DN?
Might just squash the exhaust this year if I have to play with clutching among other things.
Talked to a buddy's wife who works for UA and says they have these still. Different marketing, but cold gear/heat gear with armour vent is what to look for apparently. Same technology just rebranded and used a lot for trail runners...and I remember him having a pair training for tough mudder...
