1979 Yamaha enticer 250
I just looked at my shock today, my sub frame is cracked. Right by my left shock it's cracked, anyone ever have this problem? Anyone welded them before?

Wow, didn't think that part would crack. Not sure why that couldn't be welded up good as new but Grizz would be the one to confirm this for sure. Keep us posted!

There ya go.
That's not a normal failure spot. Has the sled been wrecked in the past? The only other thing that might cause damage is running the shock pressure to low and hard bottoming. I would weld the crack then reinforce that area with a gusset. If it was a lower frame tube I'd be more concerned because that section provides most of the strength.
