I am about to buy a 09 Phazer GT this week. It has 3000 miles on it and looks super clean. When talking to the owner I know the He replaced the Jack shaft with one from a 2013 due to the original one breaking. Other than that I know it is studded up the middle and has a SB tunnel closure installed. Is there anything I should be looking for or looking out for and what is a sled like this worth? Check the ball joints and steering for slop in the linkages. There's also the plastic bushings for the A-arms that could be worn out. Better to replace them with the Oillite version regardless.
If he replaced the jackshaft, then he basically replaced the reverse gear box. Probably failed with the ratcheting of the dog gears and/or the shifter fork failure. You have to make sure it always has an adequate amount of chaincase oil to keep the reverse gear box properly lubed.
All the issues from previous years had been addressed so not much else to look for.

Looks like he took apart the reverse gear case and replaced just the shaft that goes from the secondary clutch into the gear case.

Seems like people this way want 3500-3700 for a 2007. I’m at 3000 for this one.

Sounds like a deal to me. Even here, that would be about $3800CAD for such a low mileage unit.
Your first post said it was a 2009. 2008 still had a couple things to look out for such as the ground block and reverse engagement issues. Actually, 2009 still had the ground block issue. Make sure it has been updated.

went and looked at it today and if had a cracked left spindle and the shock was pushed back to the A-arm. It’s a pass. Thanks for all the wuick replies.

That's too bad. Yeah, definitely indicates a hard hit. I bought a crashed Phazer, then bought another one with a blown motor for parts and put together a very nice sled for my son but this was when they were still quite pricey.
Found another one that is close by. It’s a 2012 RTX with 15xx miles on it looks clean and is studded up the middle. Has two windshields that come with it. I’m pretty in tune with what Nytros are worth but not the Phazers. Any help won’t be great. I’ll get some pics up in a bit. Thanks again!!
