I have a 2010 rtx that I bought with 900 miles and installed a grizztracks gusset kit in before riding. Well at 3500 miles now I still managed to bend the subframe. Right shock is close to rear of upper a arm. Also noticed the bottom gusset plate at rear of frame is buckled on the left side. Haven't tore it apart yet to see if any other damaged areas. Any other things I should check?
Will post updates and pictures
I have straightened several with a chain from tree to lower spindle and a couple hard reverse rams. the front lower arm inner mount hole likes to egg out and requires welding
yep....that happens, must of hit something.....if your sub-frame doesn't bend then something else will in that situation (a-arm) and it is easier to ride home with a bent sub-frame than a broken or bent a-arm. unique repair method....
