Does anyone know the size of the crankcase oil drain plug? I think its an M10 x 15mm.

I was changing the oil and stripped the hex head trying to loosen it. Strange since I know I torqued it properly last time to 11 ft lbs.

Anyway I want to replace it with one that has a regular bolt head.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, the bolt is a M10 x 1.25mm pitch x 15mm grip/thread length. Luckily I have not stripped one out, but could totally see it happening so I also replaced the socket head bolt with a hex head.

I did order the OEM Yamaha oil drain bolt. When I picked it up at the local Yamaha dealer they actually found a proper hex head bolt with the exact measurements I needed (M10 x 1.25 s 15.5mm) in a bag of spare parts. No charge! Thanks to Wildwood Yamaha.
