Gas Mileage on a New Viper MTX 162 LE Turbo

I have '16 SRViper MTX 162 with the MPI turbo. the Sled seems to be running awesome (knocking on wood now), my only complaint is the gas mileage. I am getting about 9 miles to a gallon. Granted that I am still in the breaking period with only 250 miles on it.

I also have an '09 Nytro XTX (also MPI turbo, just not during the breaking period). I don't remember the Nytro swallowing this much fuel even during the break in period.

Will it get better, I am hoping?

That is all I get. Deep snow and off trail is 9-10 mpg. On trail I can double that if not in boost condition all the time.

I never understood the question about gas mileage on a Mountain sled and never think about calculating it myself because every ride is so different. My best day riding this season I burned 8gal in 3.5hrs and maybe put 30 miles on the sled, yes the snow that day was deep. And some days I can ride all day on half a tank when the snow sucks.
