About 8-10"s of snow since yesterday. Light fluffy stuff. Doubt they are grooming yet, but will check on my way to work in a few hours. Did rip up an down the road a few times today, like a little kid again!!! Still supposed to get a few more inches of lake effect today to tonight. Looking good so far.

 thanks for the report ;)!

No prob. Additionally, about 1-2 more inches last night. No grooming so far, but there are snowmobile tracks on trail 7 already. Mine will be there tomorrow (this....lol) morning. Gotta go get trail stickers, gotta be good enough reason to go for a 20 mile or so round trip eh? Give a holler if your gonna come up to ride. Do you and Chris know each other already?

Well.....wife and I went out for a ride Friday night. It wasn't great. The gas well trails and stuff out by our house (southwest side of gaylord) have decent snow on them but once we got to the marked trails they were all snirt. Was good to ride again, but we will just be tooling about around home on powerlines and stuff til we get more snow, no more trails for us yet. Quite a few sleds came up this weekend though, Friday night the hotel by the offramp/near shell station had quite a few trailers in it.

Any chance could be riding in Gaylord this weekend or during next week? Have next week off so looking to ride. Thanks

Check johndee.com and you look at live camera pics for tons of places. Just click on ncn for camera pics. Also sledhead of fredric post daily trail reports of the area.

Additionally, Rays Retreat and The Swamp Bar also have trail cameras that update regularly showing conditions. I would not recommend riding in Gaylord yet. Still not grooming either. We have gotten quite a bit of snow but it is all lake effect, really light and fluffy. But they are saying a system snow may be on the way this weekend. An example of how light the snow is: where I live in particular, I am looking outside right now and there is no less than 15 inches of snow on our wishing well in the yard, but my kids were out riding the mini-z 2 days ago and still tearing the yard up with the skis and the track was rippin up gravel in the driveway. But if you've got the itch that bad (and i know how that feels) you gotta do what you gotta do. I'll try to attach a picture in a hour or so, gotta go get gas for the snow blower.....lol

Here's the snow pic.

Thanks guys. I have been looking at all the webcams just wanted to get more of a local opinion. Getting tired of ripping around the house here. Looking to get out of ohio.....lol

Well, wife and I were both off on Monday so we decided to go for a ride. It was a cold one. About 8 degrees with -20 windchill. Rode anyway, good gear goes a long way. We rode from our house up to the new....er....casino...lol....in Vanderbilt. Trails in Gaylord still not groomed but at least have enough snow to ride now. No dirt noted. But alot of windblown trails when out of trees. As we got closer to Vanderbilt the snow was more scarce but drifting along the trail kept the rails lubed. We headed back down to Gaylord and then down to Waters just to put on some more miles. Snow about the same in Waters as Gaylord; minimal but enough to ride without tearing up the trail or carbides. Then back up to Gaylord and around the North side of lake and then home. Overall, it was a good few hours out. Still need more snow but will continue to ride unless we have a warm-up and no additional snow. Didn't really go east or west yet but will report when we do. Even for a Monday we still saw about 20 sleds out during that few hours.
