GPS Trail Maps

I want to share my experience this past week with VV Mappings product for trails in Michigan, Indiana, Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Gear:
VV Mapping on a Micro SD Card
Garmin Montana Camo w/mini usb to cigarette lighter(best results with 1 solid cable & no adapters)
Ram Adjustable HandleBar mount.
Yamaha 2018 Sidewinder 141.

First test was using a mini usb to usb cableplugged into a USB to cigarette lighter adapter. This went to battery power once and a while on the bumps so I switched to a cable with no adapetrs and it was solid.
Keep the re-chargeble battery in the unit as this will keep power to the unit during gas stops.

The GPS map totally replaced the paper map. I did not have to break out a map once in 3 days/700 miles.

We use VVmaps on Snowmobiles and ATV/UTV, they are pretty darn great.

I did a search and the most recent post was a few from last year but then a bunch from 4 or 5 years ago. Wanted to spread the wor.
