Noisy turbo

I have a 17 winder with a very noisy turbo....anyone have a good source for a replacement other then going thru Yamaha parts suppliers$$$. Thanks Jim

have you tried pricing at an artic cat dealer? some times the parts are cheaper through there.

I am not sure what turbo is in there, but I have an MPI in my viper that during an engine swap (bad rods) ingested a blue paper towel through the turbo. I took it to a truck turbo shop and they rebuilt and balanced it better than new they say. It was about $1200 Canadian. Look into getting it rebuilt.

I know the stock Yamaha IHI replacement turbo is quite pricey. I am not aware of a Yamaha rebuild kit available yet.

May want to call Dave at Hurricane as he was working on rebuild kit for the stock turbos. Not sure where he is at. Worth a call.
