So I’m installing a belt drive and decided to powder coat the inner chaincase while I was waiting. I put a thin coat and it turned out great.

Now thinking of doing the outside of oil tank. I can’t really see why it would be an issue. The thin coating wouldn’t affect heat transfer if it’s an actual issue.

If there anything hidden that’s rubber or plastic besides the internal baffles?

Pretty sure part #18 (suction screen) is partly non-metallic; like phenolic or hard plastic.

Well I hear we go. Degreased and pre bake to remove oil residue. Removed all the baffles, screen, orings and removed the breather to clean the rtv off.

Looking good, post some pics when it’s all assembled back on the sled.

Looking great! I'm dropping mine off locally to have something similar done. I might go with some different colors as well
