Rotopax tank and exhaust extensions

Your set up is fine as far as the heat exchanger goes. I ran the same set up 58K km with no issues on my 08LTX,

I do believe your turnouts on this set up are the issue. I had custom turnouts made that are longer and don't come anywhere near my rotopax. This is on my 2014 XTX, those turnouts are fine for the older apex with the exhaust out further but with the newer ones i think is 2011 up tgat have the exhaust moved in closer together in the back, you need custom turnouts made, to get that exhaust away from the spare gas.

Unfortunately my sled is not here so I got no pics right this minute. Sorry.
But trust me those turnouts are not gonna cut it they will melt that can.

Found a few but none real close up hopefully you can zoom in on them. Let me know how it works.

That one is a Roto-Pax just 1 gallon but beats walking. I ride with a bunch of Doo's that all have 2.5 gallons extra and All the other Yamaha's Apex and Vectors have my same turnouts and use 1.5 gallon Kolpin fuel packs.

I usually end up giving my gas to others i find stranded. As we know our limits and have never really ever come up short.

Yes, mine is also a 1 gallon rotopax. Nice looking setup.

On a side note, how do you like the WRP seat? Do you have a bar riser too?

Here is my setup. I was worried about heat as well so i got my rotopax tank sprayed with linex, which happened to match the color of my sled! no exhaust turnouts. Ran this setup all last year and had no issues with the coating breaking down or heat issues. The tank did come in handy though when my buddy with an Arctic Scrap ran out of fuel!!

Nice setup! It looks like you have the Backcountry 1.75 track on your sled. I have that on mine too. How do you like it?

I like it a lot!! Running a boosted sled, my issue was traction. Stretching to a 144" and going to the backcountry definitely achieved that! The track does cause a bit of top end loss, but im usually trying to put my arms back in their sockets and wiping the smile off my face at that point, so i don't lose much sleep over it! lol!!

not directed at me but I love my wrp seat and I do have a 2.5 lake effect pivot riser. I also have a spare seat foam from wrp for sale in the classifieds.

Great white, it'll look just like the one I posted only shorter.
